Dr. Robert McClure

Board-certified dermatologist Dr. McClure grew up in Miami, Florida, and Birmingham, Alabama. He has over 45 years of expertise in general and surgical dermatology serving patients in the Atlanta area. Robert McClure, M.D. received his B.A. from Birmingham Southern College and his M.D. degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1974. Following graduation, Dr. McClure received his surgical training as a resident in 1975 and 1976 at the prestigious Emory University. A 3-year-dermatology residency followed at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, which was completed in 1980. That same year Dr. McClure opened his initial dermatology practice in Lilburn, Georgia, practicing there until his retirement in 2024. Dr. McClure is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

He has received the prestigious Compassionate Doctor certification, the Patients Choice recognition and the Vitals On-Time + Promptness Award every year since 2014.

Dr. Robert McClure proudly served our community as an elected member of the Board of Education of the Gwinnett County Public Schools for over 24 years. He enjoys spending time with his wife of over 55 years, their 6 children, and 20 grandchildren. He also finds time to read, go snow skiing, play golf, and go fly fishing.
