Internship
Students interested in gaining real-world experience have the option of taking the Internship course as an elective in their Junior and/or Senior year. Each student's experience is unique to their interests and talents and experiences vary greatly. Students who are self-directed learners are best suited for this course. It provides a lot of flexibility and opportunities for leadership and professionalism that many students enjoy. Student Applications for Internship are closed for SY 26-27.

Peer Leadership
The Peer Leadership class at McClure Health Science High School focuses on students helping others through leadership, tutoring, and service learning. This course provides students with a framework for understanding service learning through a diversity lens. Service learning is structured service experiences that enable learners to objectively reflect upon their experience and gain a deeper understanding of the experience. Students will learn about the problem-solving process, taking opportunities to participate in meaningful activities and affect our society in positive ways (civic participation), learning effective communication skills, adhering to ethical codes of practice, and exercising tolerance and advocacy of others’ rights. See Ms. Guzman in A103 for more information on joining Peer Leadership. Peer Leadership placements have been made for SY 26-27.
