Exercise Physiology
The exercise physiology coursework will prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to become certified as a Personal Trainer. As a personal trainer, students have the flexibility to work part-time and gain experience in health and wellness. Upon completing the pathway courses, students have the ability to sit for the NASM Certified Personal Trainer examination (CPT) which is valued at over $600. The course covers body mechanics, anatomy & physiology, strength training, and muscle connections. This education can prepare students for a future in kinesiology, sports medicine, or several other fields in the health industry.
Students must be in their SENIOR year to enroll in this course.
This is a requirement from the testing agency and GCPS District office.
