Introduction to Healthcare Science - Allied Health and Medicine
Introduction to Healthcare Science is the first course in all healthcare pathways. This course covers infection control, CPR/First Aid, and preventative health behaviors. Students will develop both employability and leadership skills. Introduction to Healthcare Science provides an introductory look at becoming a multi-skilled healthcare associate. Upon completion of all three courses in the Allied Health and Medicine Pathway, students will take the End of Pathway Assessment.
Essentials of Healthcare – Allied Health and Medicine
Essentials of Healthcare Science is the second course in all healthcare pathways. This course covers the structure and functional organization of the body and disease investigation. Anatomy and Physiology is an essential piece of Healthcare Science, and this course will strengthen students’ understanding of human anatomy and functions within. Students will continue to develop both employability and leadership skills. Essentials of Healthcare provides strengthening of skills and an in-depth look at becoming a multi-skilled healthcare assistant. Upon completion of all three courses in the Allied Health and Medicine Pathway, students will take the End of Pathway Assessment.
